Welcome to Year 3
Year Three is an important one for your child as they make the transition from Key Stage One to Key Stage Two.
In Year Three we promote a love of learning in a range of challenging and engaging topics. We believe that every child is on their own learning journey and each one of them will have their own achievements of which to be proud. The children will flourish as individuals, taking on ownership of their own learning and becoming equipped with the necessary skills to become a resilient and successful learner.
The Year 3 teachers this year are Mrs Aird, Mrs Sweetman and Mrs Watson.
Additional phase support is provided by: Mrs Kenworthy.
Our P.E days:
Monday - outdoor with Mrs Sweetman
Friday - indoor with Mrs Aird
P.E kit is blue or black P.E shorts/plain black running leggings.
Plain blue or white T-shirt (no football tops or tops with a logo).
Suitable trainers for outdoor activity.
Plain blue/black jogging bottoms.
Homework expectations
Please read with your child 3 times a week.
Practise spellings handed out every Friday - Spelling test on following Friday.
Times Tables Rock Stars x2 per week.
Please ensure your child brings in their reading record daily.
