At Thorpe Primary School, we are proud to provide a welcoming, inclusive and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, safe and inspired to achieve their best. Our Ofsted inspection in March 2023 recognised the positive relationships between staff, pupils and families, our strong commitment to wellbeing, and our ambition for all children, including those with SEND.
We offer an ambitious and engaging curriculum that encourages children to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence. Reading is at the heart of our learning, with high-quality phonics teaching, carefully chosen stories and a wonderful school library helping to foster a lifelong love of reading. We also celebrate our pupils’ enthusiasm for sport and the many achievements they enjoy through a wide range of sporting opportunities.
We believe that happy, confident children are best placed to succeed. Through high expectations for behaviour, dedicated pastoral support and opportunities to develop kindness, respect and an understanding of others, we help every child flourish academically, socially and emotionally. We are proud of our school community and remain committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.
