Welcome to Year 6
Year 6 is a very important and exciting stage in your child’s primary school experience. In Year 6, we consolidate and build upon their learning through primary school. In addition to working towards the end of KS2 SATs, ensuring all children has the opportunity to achieve the very best they can, we also ensure a wide and varied curriculum throughout the year. Children are give the opportunity to learn new skills, ready for the next stage of their educational journey at secondary school.

Our PE Days
Our PE days are:
Tuesday and Friday.
On PE days, the children come to school wearing their PE kit - this comprises of a blue/white t-shirt, blue/black leggings, shorts or tracksuit bottoms, blue/black jumper and suitable trainers.
All jewellery, including earrings, must
also be removed.
Homework .
Homework expectations
- Reading 3 x a week
- Times table practice (using TTRS or other equivalent resources)
- Weekly spellings - these go home on a Thursday and are tested the following Thursday.
- From Autumn 2 term, there will be weekly reading, writing or maths homework sent home.
